Legislative leaders allow Governor Kelly’s stay-at-home order to go into effect

TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) — Kansas legislative leadership gathered either in person or on the phone on Sunday to discuss Governor Kelly’s statewide stay-at-home order.

The Legislative Coordinating Council is required to meet within three days of the Governor creating an Executive Order. This gives council members a chance to ask clarifying questions or make changes to the order.

4th person in Wyandotte County dies from coronavirus

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KSNW) – Wyandotte County health officials are reporting their fourth death related to coronavirus (COVID-19). This also marks the sixth death in Kansas with one death in Johnson County, Kansas and one death in Shawnee County.

As of Sunday morning, Wyandotte County has 52 confirmed cases with 23 patients hospitalized.

KDHE confirms 42 cases of COVID-19 in Sedgwick County

SEDGWICK COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) – Sedgwick County health officials confirmed Sunday the county has 42 total cases of COVID-19. The number of confirmed cases in Sedgwick County has increased from 33 as of Saturday.

The number of confirmed cases in Kansas has risen from 261 to 319, six people have died.
