There were two new confirmed coronavirus cases confirmed Saturday, April 11, for Midland County, raising the total local number of cases to 30. There has been one coronavirus death in Midland.

Gladwin County however did not see an increase in cases on Saturday, leaving the total at 4.

Statewide, there were 1,210 new cases confirmed Saturday, along with 111 new deaths. As of Saturday, Michigan’s case total is 23,993 cases, and there have been 1,392 deaths.

The cumulative total of people who have recovered in Michigan, as of April 10, is 433.

Regionally, Bay County is up five cases for a total of 53; Isabella County increased by one case for a total of 38 and has three deaths; and Saginaw County increased by 14 cases, for a total of 254 cases and nine total deaths.

According to state data on Saturday, people aged 50 to 59 make up 20% of the confirmed cases, followed by people aged 60 to 69 at 18% and 40 to 49 at 16%. Among those who have died from the virus in Michigan, 36% were 80 or older; 28% were 70 to 79; and 19% were 60 to 69 years old.

The average age of people who have died is 73.1 and the entire age range of those who have died is 20-107.

In addition, more confirmed cases are among people who are black or African American (33%) or Caucasian (27%), with 31% unknown.
