SOUTH CAROLINA GAMECOCKS BASKETBALLThe South Carolina versus Missouri men’s basketball game, originally scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 12, but postponed due to weather related travel issues for the Tigers, has been TENTATIVELY rescheduled for Sunday, Jan. 13, at 1 p.m. ET, at Colonial Life Arena, pending the weather permitting Missouri’s travel to Columbia, S.C., on Saturday. Both South Carolina and Missouri have worked alongside the SEC office in working to reschedule the contest. A final determination on the tentative rescheduled matchup will be announced on Saturday afternoon.

Should the game be played on Sunday, original tickets for the matchup will be honored. There will be no ticket refunds. Ticket vouchers distributed to those students who participated in the Read With The Gamecocks and Martin’s Math Club programs will also still be honored. The status of the game was up in the air late Friday afternoon less than 24 hours before the Gamecocks and Tigers were expected to tip off.Also see: A way-too-early look at the receiver positionThe issue comes on Missouri’s end with weather potentially affecting the Tigers’ travel to South Carolina.Snow is expected in Columbia, Missouri and forecasts Friday call for the weather to hit Friday and continue all day Saturday, dumping about eight inches of snow in the area over the course of 36 hours.Also see: What stands out about four-star commit Cam Smith?Usually teams arrive early for road games and have a practice and shoot around in the opposing team’s arena the night before the game.The Gamecocks (7-7, 2-0 SEC) are off to an undefeated start to SEC play after a buzzer-beating win against Florida and upsetting No. 14 Mississippi State in overtime Tuesday.
