Disney+ releases ‘Hamilton’ trailer ahead of July 3 premiere

The trailer for the screen version of “Hamilton” was just released ahead of its July 3 premiere on Disney .The video project shows parts of the award-winning Broadway musical created and directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda and also goes behind the stage at New York City’s Richard Rodgers Theater.The musical premiered in June 2016, with Miranda in the lead role.The trailer features cast performances of the theme song, “Alexander Hamilton.” Stars Miranda, 40, Leslie Odom Jr. Phillipa Soo, Daveed Diggs and more are spotlighted in the first-look.LIN-MANUEL MIRANDA APOLOGIZES FOR ‘HAMILTON’S DELAY IN ‘DENOUNCING SYSTEMIC RACISM’ AMID PROTESTS“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the show,” a narrator said at the start of the trailer.
