SAN ANGELO — A newborn boy is among the most recent San Angelo patients to test positive for coronavirus.
After seven new positive test results were confirmed, the total number of cases stands at 17 as of 2 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2020, including the third case of community spread, according to the City of San Angelo.
The number of tests conducted by 2 p.m. Friday was 583, with 228 pending and 338 negative.
Here is a look at what has been released about each of the San Angelo patients who have tested positive for COVID-19:
Patient No. 17 — April 3: Woman in her 60s, travel-related case who likely contracted the disease while traveling.
Patient No. 16 — April 3: A woman in her 20s with no known contact with a COVID-19 patient. She is the third case of community spread. The city initially reported this as a potential travel-related case.
Patient No. 15 — April 3: Woman in her 20s who is a family member of Patient No. 6, also a woman in her 20s.
Patient No. 14 — April 3: Woman in her 40s who had family contact with another positive case not specifically identified by city officials as a past case.
Patient No. 13 — April 3: Man in his 40s who is a family member of Patient No. 7, a preteen girl.
Patient No. 12 — April 3: Newborn boy who is a family member of Patient No. 7, a preteen girl.
Patient No. 11 — April 3: Teen girl who is a family member of Patient No. 7, a preteen girl.
Information on previously announced patients in San Angelo
Patient No. 10 — April 2: A man in his 30s with no known connection to a person with COVID-19. Second instance of community spread.
Patient No. 9 — March 31: A man in his 70s who was hospitalized in San Angelo.
Patient No. 8 — March 31: A man in his 50s from out of town who was in San Angelo for work purposes. He was hospitalized in San Angelo.
Patient No. 7 — March 31: A preteen female whose household has been self-isolating since March 24.
Patient No. 6 — March 30: A woman in her 20s who came into contact with a confirmed positive travel-related case.
Patient No. 5 — March 29: A “young boy” whose age was not released. He is closely related to Patient No. 3.
Patient No. 4 — March 29: A male in his 30s who is closely related to Patient No. 3.
Patient No. 3 — March 27: Female in her 30s with no known contact with an infected person, making her the first case of community spread in San Angelo.
Patient No. 2 — March 25: Male in his 20s. The man came into contact with someone who previously tested positive.
Patient No. 1 — March 24: Male in his 70s. The man drove into San Angelo after traveling internationally and was being treated here.
