Antonio Brown received probation after pleading no contest to burglary with battery, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance and criminal mischief stemming from an alleged attack on a moving truck driver in Florida in January.
Per Steve Owen of WPLG TV in Miami, the judge sentenced Brown to two years of probation and required him to complete a 13-week anger management course and undergo a psychological evaluation.
Per TMZ Sports, Brown has also been ordered to stay away from the two victims and serve 100 hours of community service.
Carson Hancock, Brown’s attorney, released a statement on behalf of his client after the judge’s decision:
Owen did note Brown is allowed to travel anywhere in the country for work under terms of his probation. This would permit him to potentially return to the NFL if a team wants to sign him.
Brown turned himself in to Broward County Jail in January after an arrest warrant was issued. The seven-time Pro Bowler was alleged to have attacked a driver after throwing rocks at a moving company truck.
The 31-year-old Brown is subject to suspension by the league under the personal conduct policy stemming from this case and accusations of rape and sexual assault in a lawsuit filed by his former trainer. He has also been accused of sexual misconduct by a female artist, per Sports Illustrated’s Robert Klemko.
Brown has been a free agent since being released by the New England Patriots last September.
